Barrahormid

Barrahormid Estate is a large area of land on the Tayvallich peninsula in Argyll, Scotland comprising 2,000 acres of temperate rainforest, juniper scrub, fenland, coastal marsh and species-rich grassland. It contains unique natural habitats which have been designated by NatureScot as four SSSIs and an SAC (Special Area of Conservation)

The estate is near to a number of other nationally important sites for nature including Taynish National Nature Reserve, the Knapdale Forest and the Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve. These, together with the Barrahormid Estate and Ulva and Danna to the South, will form a landscape scale site for nature.
